Buying and Selling Fashion: A Brilliant User’s Guide with 3 Awesome Tips to Making Money on Poshmark

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my Disclosure for more info.
First of all, let’s find out what Poshmark is and what it does. After plenty of research (drum roll)…Poshmark is a mobile clothing marketplace where you can buy and sell fashionable pieces that come right out of your closet!

You literally get to shop someone else’s closet and allow for others to shop in yours without leaving your home. Poshmark allows its users to connect directly with each other, giving each user the ability to have hands-on management with each individual purchase. There are often “parties” where a user can share their clothing to receive more views and possible chances of a sale as well as honing in their chances of finding that perfect piece that they may have been looking for.
For all of those pieces that are too small, too big (basically everything you bought on a whim but didn’t try on before you left the store), but that are REALLY cute, this is the place to sell them. We know they’re in the back of your closet somewhere and only God knows where the receipt is, if you haven’t already exceeded the refund policy time. Instead of going back to the store and trying to negotiate with the cashier on why you believe you should be able to still return this item, you can just sell it on Poshmark.
Boy, do I wish this thing was around in high school, as I would have been selling all of my clothes just to make some extra money. Instead of swapping clothes with friends, I would have been uploading and shipping my little heart out just to fill my bank account.  Poshmark is a great way to earn an extra side income, and I am all about additional and multiple streams of income. They do take 20% from each sale, but as we all know with business, they have to make their money somewhere. I think that 20% is a fair, if not low cost to the user, because of what Poshmark is offering you. It is offering an online and mobile presence that allows you to sell and buy all from the confines of your own home. Who else does that?!?
  1.    1.Find some clothing, shoes, and accessories in your closet that you would like to sell. Make sure that they’re in good condition and are things that someone else would like to wear.
  2.  2. This part is important, as it is your main way to market your item.Upload clear pictures, preferably in front of a solid color background, with ample lighting. Poshmark will then prompt you to add a description and to select a brand, category, and size for the item. You get to choose what price you would like to list the item for and also to add how new the item is (new with tags, new without tags, used etc.)
  3.    3. SHOP! Don’t forget to find incredible deals on Poshmark at just a fraction of the actual retail price.
Below are some additional Pros and Cons to Poshmark:
-You may receive “low-ball” offers where buyers offer to buy the product for way less than you have listed, and often way less than what the product is worth
-You may have to reject offers, because the final negotiated price is just too low for you to accept
-As with anything online, there are people who are always looking to deceive others for their own selfish purposes
-After making a sale, Poshmark gives you a FREE print-out shipping label
-Secure payment transfers
-An optional authentication service for high-end goods
-A HUGE range of clothing price-wise
-An app for easy mobile selling and shopping
What do you think? How many of you already use Poshmark and what has your experience been like?
I love Poshmark, the #1 app to buy and sell fashion, and know you will love it too! Make money and shop over 5,000 brands at up to 70% off. It’s fun and easy – I promise!

My blog Styling With Sheila J is a product of my live and you learn blog,  I thought it was a good idea at the time but as the months turned into a year and a year turned into 2. I thought that that converting to word press self hosted from blogger not realizing how much of a financial burden this may cost me. Now as many of you know I am all about saving money, but I was wasting money more than making money and my blog was not doing what it was supposed to do. As my life began to spiral down hill, and began to feel all over the place so did my blog.
It took months of frustration and my blog being cut off and on from blue host for me to say enough was enough and ask God for clarity on what I should do by still remaining true to myself and what I wanted to do in my life and career. One day as I was on the phone with blue host trying to regain my domain name from them that was on lock due to a bank situation, I asked should I have even be doing this or should I just give up on this idea of model savings. The whole concept behind model savings was the fact that I am a model who loves to save money. However it seems as if that concept didn’t appeal to many models at all. The aggravation!
One thing is for sure my blog posts appealed to everyone, thus my new blog being called Now what scares me is success, I just launched the first blog post on Jan 8th,2015 with the blog post 21 Apps that Will Make and Save You Money. I would have never guessed that a week later that same blog post would have went viral making my blog reach 22,000 view in under a months time. The irony of it all is that before I write every blog post is that I pray ask God to write my blog posts because with out him I am now nothing and I can not do anything with out him.
This idea of success scares me so much because I know success for me is right around the corner and I feel it coming very soon. And I have no idea of what to do with it. I have been struggling for so long that the idea of having a million dollars scares me. Why? Because with that comes taxes and with the a million ways that I have figured out how to make money from ,  I have no idea of how to maneuver with taxes and how to pay my taxes with so much money coming in. With money and success comes things that I am not used to. So god you are gonna have to do what you do best and help me in the process because lord knows I would not know what to do.
What does the bible say about success?
Proverbs 29:18King James Version (KJV)
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Granted I have a vision but I never imagined it happening this fast. It amazes me and it’s all because I sat down wrote out the vision like it says in Habakkuk 2:2.
“Success depends on three things: who says it, what he says, how he says it; and of these three things, what he says is the least important.”
When King David was about to die, he gave his son, Solomon, the following advice: “Do what the LORD your God commands and follow his teachings. Obey everything written in the Law of Moses. Then you will be a success, no matter what you do or where you go” (1 Kings 2:3 CEV).
Genesis 39:2-6 “The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate.”
Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

If you are not walking with advice of the wicked nor standing in the way of sinners or the way that sinners are going and are also not sitting in the seat of people who talk bad about god then God will bless you. To be blessed means to literally make you happy to your hearts desires. Your happiness will naturally be in God’s law and you will meditate day or night (all the time) and this means that like a tree planted by a stream of water, you will never dry up or die because you will always produce godly fruit and everything you do will prosper
Proverbs 3:1-4 “My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.”
The Word of God and write the words onto the tablet of our heart. The heart, in the Jewish language, was the seat of intellect. Pretty much what you have to do is memorize the Bible well not all of it but some of it. If you do this you will have “length of days and years of life” and “you will find favor and good success.” What more could a man or woman want.

There’s is a place that you get to where you are like God just do what you have to do. I do not know about you, however I know that I worry a lot and this is a lot I don’t know why I do this but I do. I wish I was not like the type to worry about this but I am.
I worry about where I am going to stay, how am I going to get by the next day, how can I promote and flourish in my career more. I know I am not just a model, I am more than just that. However I cannot do this by myself. I need to stop worry and I have been asking God to do this. I do not want the Devil to take away my peace, and if you take away my peace than you can take away my mind. Jesus I rebuke this and we can not allow this to happen.
The ultimate solution to anxiety is to take the things that cause it—doubts and fears—to God. He is eager to help us deal with these common emotions in the right way so that we can experience true peace in our hearts and minds. He cares for us, and He wants us to cast our cares on Him. Prayer is a key to a stronger relationship with God and to dealing with worry. Pray more, worry less!
God wants to help you deal with the anxieties in your life. He wants you to bring your doubts, worries and fears to Him. Don’t wait. Write down at least one thing you are worried about right now, and turn it over to God. Ask God to help you start dealing with your worries more effectively by trusting Him and committing your life to His will.
Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
2 Corinthians 1:8-10
For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us…
Paul understood that God is the only true source of help. Paul faced many anxiety-inducing situations in his ministry and travels, but consistently trusted that God would provide deliverance from these situations that were beyond human control.

I have found that when I lead with my emotions, I make not so good choices and end up in situations I have never asked to be in. When you are in these situations you are supposed to call on God and have faith that he will get you out of this situation.
I can’t lie, I find having faith is the hardest thing to do in the world to do. Why? Well simply put when you are so used to adhering to ways that you have become accustomed to. You find it hard to break out of your old ways especially when you are consistently hearing from people that you are never going to change and always telling you NO!
However when the world tells you no God tells you YES. Yes to everything that you want in life but you have to have faith to believe he will do for you. He is your father, he is your provider. I have never thought that i would be writing these blog posts that I am writing and praising God the way that I do in each post. There is an amazing feeling that comes out of this. It is kind of like when you have a crush on some one for the first time and have the only feelings and butterflies in your stomach. Yet it’s a sense of not knowing that feels really great! God does miracles and signs and wonders. I want to see miracles that is what I want to see! I want to see him do things that people do not think it is possible for that to happen
Why is the world so used to this? It is because society made you that way. We are not of the world, we are not supposed to be that way that is why we are supposed to have faith when all else fails. I get it, it’s not easy but you have to faith because with out faith how is God supposed to answer your prayers. All he wants from you is to have faith and believe he will do everything else so just have faith. Trust me he hears you even when you think he doesn’t he does.
What does the bible say about having faith?

Now there was a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years. She had endured much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had; and she was no better, but rather grew worse. She had heard about Jesus, and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, for she said, “If I but touch his clothes, I will be made well.” Immediately her hemorrhage stopped; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. Immediately aware that power had gone forth from him, Jesus turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my clothes?” And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing in on you; how can you say, ‘Who touched me?’ ” He looked all around to see who had done it. But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling, fell down before him, and told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” (NRSV, Mark 5:25-34)

The story of the woman with a hemorrhage also has a lesson. If we approach God with humility and put our confidence and trust in Him instead of in worldly things, our faith will enable our spiritual healing and salvation.
John 3:16 is one of the best known and most beloved verses in the Bible, but it must be read in context to appreciate its full meaning and implications:

14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
17 “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. 20 For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed.
21 But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.” (NRSV, John 3:14-21)

I was always told to stick to one talent, but I always thought that I am destined to be multi talented. Is it a bad thing to be exceptional at many talents? I am not quite sure, but now days it is rare for people to do just one thing at least that’s how I feel. I am sorry that I do not fit your mold, wait I am not sorry. I am not going to apologize for being me and doing things that I love.
I believe the word to describe us as Emilie from Puttylike would use is multipotentialite what does that mean exactly? “A multipotentialite is a person who has many different interests and creative pursuits in life. Multipotentialites have no “one true calling” the way specialists do. Being a multipotentialite is our destiny. We have many paths and we pursue all of them, either sequentially or simultaneously (or both). Multipotentialites thrive on learning, exploring, and mastering new skills. We are excellent at bringing disparate ideas together in creative ways. This makes us incredible innovators and problem solvers. When it comes to new interests that emerge, our insatiable curiosity leads us to absorb everything we can get our hands on. As a result, we pick up new skills fast and tend to be a wealth of information. ”
I would think that being great at many things means you then become more valuable to someone else. I never really could stick to one thing growing up so I do not know why people think they can change this fact about me. This is the way God made me I have to accept it.
If no one else can accept this than they are not supposed to understand your vision, move on there’s more people out there that will understand your vision and believe in your success. Just make sure you put gods kingdom first and everything else will follow.
What does the bible say about having multiple talents?
The gifts that we have been given are not just ours they also belong to God. God gave them to us for the purpose of putting HIM first and serving other people.
We all have something to give. We can give our money and our time to volunteer for a worthy cause, be a friend to someone who is sick or lonely,or be a peacemaker, teacher or minister.  Some of us may choose an occupation that is service based. We may just do our everyday jobs with a humble heart and respect for others. We also may receive gifts that are of the creative side of the world.
Apostle Paul said this:
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. ” (NIV, Romans 12:5-8)
In His Parable of the Talents, Jesus taught that we must use our gifts carefully. A talent was a very large sum of money, about 80 pounds (36 kg) of silver. Before leaving on a journey, a very wealthy man trusted his wealth to his servants for a brief time that he will be away. Two of the servants used the money carefully to earn income for their master. However, the third servant did not put the money to good use, and the master was very upset with this matter. The parable is written below:
“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
“After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
“The man with the two talents also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.’ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
“Then the man who had received the one talent came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
“‘Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (NIV, Matthew 25:14-30)
The master represents God in this parable, and the servants represent us. The English word talent, meaning our natural abilities, is derived from this parable. It would make sense that that is the case behind this. The lesson of this parable is that we must use our talents and abilities, as well as our wealth, in God’s service.
If we do not use our talents for the greater good of God than he will be upset with us, and consider us to be of the world and not of him.
One might think that if we give more than what we have we lose more but I believe that you can get true blessings and wealth from using your talents and sharing them with others. Service to others brings a deeper meaning to life that just having money, power can not buy.
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (TNIV, Luke 6:38)
If singers can become actors and than have there own clothing line, be dancers than why cant I have many talents and businesses in fields that I wish to be in.
We are all unique and special in our own ways and it may take us a while to figure out what are talent and purpose is for each of these talents but we are all important to the kingdom of God and ensuring that his will on earth is done. We are not of the world we are of God.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (NRSV, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7)

Building an empire is not easy. Everyone does a lot of talking when it comes to this however No one ever puts in the work to get it done. One thing is for sure you can’t except to make 100k or more a year doing $10 an hour tasks to get there.
One thing I have been struggling with for the past couple of days is the idea of whether or not I should delegate the tasks that I do on a regular basis. It is a scary thought to think about. As I think about this if I do not go through this process I will not have time to do the work that God wants me to do for his kingdom. This could be what I need to do for him to do more in my life.
As you are putting him first in his kingdom you are in turn allowing him to do what he wants with you. By allowing your self to let go you are now allowing yourself to be available for others and inspire more people.
Let’s say I choose to not delegate the work that I have to other people. That means I lose out on inspiring a team of people through out my business and career because I chose to not let go and let God in and let others do what they can to help the vision flourish.
Habakkuk 2:2-3
“Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald[b] may run with it.
For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
    it speaks of the end
    and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
    it[c] will certainly come
    and will not delay.
I don’t want to keep building an empire as if this relative success comes from me. God has to be in the spotlight because it is not my success and empire it his. As quick as you built the empire God will quickly take it away if you are not focused on him and doing his work.

I remember the day when you said being with me meant that you would be happy. That you wanted to be selfish because you could not stand the thought of someone else being with me. What happened to that man that I fall in love with where did he go?  I question that everyday. You tell me it is because I accused you of things you were not doing that you did what you did eventually. How does that make it right? All of this time you gave me a reason to be how I was, not once did you apologize for it. Now that hurts, because  I really cared about you, and still do.

Do you
remember when I said  I love you? I wasn’t lying. Remember when we used to talk for hours and tell each other everything? I miss that, I miss us but someone or something always seemed to be against us. Namely that oppa loppa…  It is sad because we really had something special but it just seemed like all I did was push you closer to her. You used to give me butterfiles in my tummy and  you still do. I would always try and place you in the friend zone and take you back out because I could not help myself. I could not wait until the next time I saw you. We always be on the phone and we always saw each other.

Maybe we do not get to be in each others lives, maybe we were unable to climb the enormous mountain together, maybe we don’t get a happily ever after. I would love to say all of this is true but the truth is i still love you and still want you. The truth is no matter how far away you are,  no matter what you might say or do my mind always finds a way to end up thinking about you.  Maybe you don’t need me anymore, one day you’ll wake up and realize that there is no one else in the world like me, that I’m one of a kind.

Hoping that you’ll want me back one day and maybe that day ill still need you. It’s like I have tired to say this over and over again to you but it just does not come out that way. You found someone else ok fine, I can not say that it does not hurt because lord knows that it does.  I will find a way to get over it just be honest with me that’s all I ask for. Do not give me false hope for something that I think might happen but will not happen.

I can at least say that at some point we shared something, and you felt the same way I did. Who knows maybe you still feel the same way.
But we will never know that now will we.

When god blesses you, he does so; however when the Devil wants to destroy you he will stop at nothing to do it and do it with people that you least except.

Relationships come in different forms, good, bad, with a friend or a boyfriend/girlfriend.

All relationships/ friendship start off good but some how sometimes slowly end up becoming toxic to yourself and to your walk with god. These are the type of relationships that we do not want in our lives because they break us down and turn us into someone that we are not.

“Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’”-1 Corinthians 15:33

King Solomon wrote, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (Proverbs 17:17).

A toxic friendship can cause a lot of damage, emotionally, mentally, even physically. Here’s how you can tell the difference.

I have had many instances where I have been in bad relationships, or have had toxic friends that were not doing anything for me but bringing me down. It is not to say that I hate these people because I do not hate or wish bad upon any of these people that have hurt. I just know in my heart that I am moving on from what was bad in my life to what is good.  Yes! Letting go is not the easiest thing in the world to do but it is something that we all must do when something is not right for us. Letting go of a relationship does not mean you are letting go of love, or that you don’t love someone anymore. Ending a relationship by Letting go doesn’t mean we will (or should) stop caring about a person, and it doesn’t mean we should be unkind, gossip about them, have anger, bitterness and un-forgiveness, or never talk to a person again.

How can you let go of a bad relationship?

Psalm 147:3, ESV He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
2 Corinthians 6:14, ESV Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
If you are not married yet, please, please, please, do not marry an unbeliever. Please.
If you are already married to an unbeliever, that’s a different story altogether – Please, pray for their salvation and be an example and a shining light in all you do, by God’s grace. Don’t give up on praying and in believing, and ask God to help you to be patient, loving, kind, gentle and forgiving, to always be an ambassador for Him, and to know how to handle every situation you may encounter in your marriage (as with all marriages). Amen.

Psalm 27:14, NASB Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.
Psalm 73:26, ESV My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Qualities of true friendship Expert from Life Hope and Truth

God’s Word is filled with ways to identify qualities of a true friendship. Here are some to consider:
  • True friends are loyal. They stand by you in good and bad times. Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all times.” Proverbs 18:24 adds, “A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
  • In a true friendship, there is reciprocity—a healthy balance of giving and receiving.
  • True friends don’t flatter. They tell the truth, even when their honesty may sting. In Proverbs 27:6 King Solomon was inspired to write, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”
  • A true friend is trustworthy and reliable. You can count on that person to keep your secrets, give you good counsel when you ask for it, and to always speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).
  • A true friend is loving—not with a selfish type of love, but with the kind that puts others’ needs first. There is a well-known chapter in the Bible about what real love is. It says, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians13:4-7).
  • A true friend will not try to lead you to do things that are wrong or hurtful, but rather is there to support you and encourage you to make right, healthy and proper choices in your life (Proverbs 1:10-14Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).

Growing up I never was given the chance to speak my mind so I reverted to creative outlets to express myself. People made fun of me and told me I would never amount to anything. I was always told that I can be seen but never to be heard. Throughout all of this I was the one that was told I was wrong for what I was doing. So naturally now I apologize for everything I do even if I am doing something right.

The only place I have found that I feel like I am naturally able to be myself and not feel sorry is in front of the camera. I can not tell you how many times I usually get that you are a total complete other person. I do agree with this because I know how to channel different things at the right time and place.
It is funny because when I got accepted to Penn State Altoona, my uncle asked me “how did you do that its a foot ball school is it not?” Well yes penn state is a foot ball school, however I busted my butt off to get into that school and i never actually ended up going at all. I was disappointed and let down that I did not know what to do.
I find that a lot of times what happens with me is inside of my head I know what I want and where I want to be and it most of the time it happens. However I notice that I ask for what it is that I want or ask for help from people that I know love and care about me so I let it go and don’t say anything.  I still get what I want but I don’t say anything. I know I have to speak up though and find my voice.
If I do not find my voice how can I minister to other woman or be an inspiration to others.
All essence there more people that are out there trying to find their voices
If you do not find your voice and declare truth over your life, the people around you and in the places you already have influence, who will? What we need to  focus on is reclaiming or finding our voice to declare truth into our own lives, to our situations or the people and obstacles in front of us.
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” – Luke 16:10
Never stop dreaming and going after all that it is God has called you to and put in your heart. However, in the midst of the journey don’t forget where you are right now and how critical your voice is to the story being written in your life. The reality is that all around there are voices declaring all sorts of things and it isn’t always truth, what releases life, or gives hope.

1. Declare the promises of God in your life and to the people around you.

We pray we plan we prepare we do!!!!!!
Habakkuk 2:2
2. Declare the Word of God.
…so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11
3. Pray in the Spirit.

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” – Romans 8:26-27
“For anyone who speaks in a tongue[a] does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.” – 1 Corinthians 14:2
4. Ask God for help.

In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. – Psalm 18:6
5. Listen to what the voice of God is saying.

Romans 8:14, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Conversely, this scripture implies that if we are God’s children, if we are born-again, we will be led by His Spirit.”

I am not going to lie as I write this blog post, I am finding it hard to figure out what I am going to write. I have been suffering from major pressure headaches that make it very hard for me to focus.I have been going through a lot in my personal life. I know that within me I need to to find a way to continue stay positive and change my mindset so that I can accomplish all of the goals that I want to accomplish.

One these goals being self-confidence and body image. What I see and feel is different from what the world sees. I feel I am fat, and not in shape, I eat all of the wrong foods and just do not feel confident in myself. When the world looks at me they see someone with issues and someone who might need to gain weight, boobs too small, no butt, acne. Maybe it is the fact that I need to find a healthier lifestyle and stability in my life.

Regardless of how I may feel, I do know that God is doing something inside me and it is a transformation that he is making. I admit that it is a process that is taking a little longer than usual but it is so worth it. I find so much joy in God and being involved in my church the way that I am.

Remember, if you are a Christian, you are living in the world, but you are not “of” the world. The rules of world’s peoples, their esteem, their clothing, everything of theirs is just that, theirs; not given over to God’s will. You are God’s loved child, and as his child, you must rely fully on him for everything, including self-esteem.

does not mean that Christians should have low self-esteem. It only means that our sense of being a good person should not depend on what we do, but rather on who we are in Christ. We need to humble ourselves before Him, and He will honor us. Psalm 16:2 reminds us, “I said to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.’” Christians attain self-worth and esteem by having a right relationship with God. We can know we are valuable because of the high price God paid for us through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ.

In one sense, low self-esteem is the opposite of pride. In another sense, low-self-esteem is a form of pride. Some people have low self-esteem because they want people to feel sorry for them, to pay attention to them, to comfort them. Low self-esteem can be a declaration of “look at me” just as much as pride. It simply takes a different route to get to the same destination, that is, self-absorption, self-obsession, and selfishness. Instead, we are to be selfless, to die to self, and to deflect any attention given to us to the great God who created and sustains us.

I admit those this is not easy because I am not used to giving everything to God. I am not used to allowing God in fully to be who he needs to be in my life.

I wrote this post because I felt a need to express this as well as giving you hope and being transparent in a different way but helping women with their image. Also because there is one particular person that radiates self-confidence that I love Demi Lovato.

I think it’s something I’ve always wanted to be able to do, but I never had the confidence to do so,” she revealed. “I’ve trained really hard in the last year with getting in shape and getting stronger and I’m finally at the point in my life where I feel comfortable going on stage and just totally rocking out in short shorts. I’m so excited to finally have that kind of confidence.”

Pray: Lord, I ask You to give me wisdom as to what I give my time and attention. Help me to be busy with the right things and to give my best to those things. Amen.
