How to Improve Your Relationship
Oftentimes, life is so busy that we do not spend time with the ones we love. This can cause your relationship to become stagnant. If you are looking to bring excitement, romance and fun back into your relationship, continue reading. It is filled with advice on how to improve your relationship.
Quality Time
Did you know that you can be in the same room with your significant other and still feel alone? Many times couples can spend hours together but never talk to each other because they are busy. Quality time is time spent engaged in conversation or doing something that both partners enjoy doing.
Date Time
If you and your partner have children, hire a babysitter and go out on a day. Think of what you two like to do and plan a date. Do you enjoy bowling? Go to a bowling alley. If the two of you like to dance, head out to a bar and spend the evening dancing the night away.
Gourmet is the Way to Go
Men love delicious food. If you are looking to woo your special someone, create a dinner that includes all of his favorite dishes. If you are not a great cook, don’t despair. Order his favorite meal from a restaurant and create a romantic dinner by getting out the good china and enjoying a romantic candlelight dinner.
Surprise Your Partner with Love Notes
Men love knowing that they are still loved and you are attracted to him. Write your partner a love note and put it in his briefcase, send him an email or a text message declaring your love for him.
Express Yourself
Let your partner know exactly why you love him. Does your heart still skip a beat when he walks in the room? Does he make you laugh? Tell him why you love him. This is especially important if you have been together for a long time.
Shower Him with Affection
Men love attention and affection. When he walks in the room, smile and lavish him with kisses and affection. Let him know he is gorgeous and you appreciate him.
Plan a Surprise
If both of you lead busy careers, it can be difficult to find time alone. One way to ensure that you two have time together is to plan a surprise vacation. This can be either a long or short trip. Think of places that the two of you will enjoy and begin planning today.
Think Outside the Box
If you are having a difficulty finding time to be together, think outside of the box to find ways to spend more time together. It could be something as simple as going to wash the car together or going shopping together. Here are some good tips on relationships. The important thing is to spend time with one another.
Let Him Hang out with His Buddies
Spending time together is great; however, your partner will enjoy getting to spend the evening with his buddies. Let him know that it is okay to occasionally go out with his friends so long as you two are also spending time together.
Appreciate Him
If your mate helps around the house, let him know how much you appreciate it. If he does a load of laundry without you asking, tell him how thankful you are to have a man that will help out.

MY BFF

See I felt such strong and change that my blog post was going to be an outfit of the day post to day. However I decided to do a special blog post dedicated to my only female best friend as well as kill two birds with one stone and do my homework assignment for my armor bearers class.

Anywho, the last female best friend I had was when I was like 5, the only reason why were are not friends any more is because I moved around so many times growing up that I lost contact with her. With that said I literally have not had a female best friend since then. Reason for me not having a female best friend is because I have found it so ridiculously hard to have female friends that I can legitimately trust with out feeling like they are going to do something shady to me behind my back, use me, try to take my boyfriends, or they just don’t understand me at all.
With all of this said someone who has taken my heart and ran with it , has loved me back to life in times that I needed real love, times when I wanted to kill myself, times when I was not sure if this was the right decision that I wanted to make. She’s been through 2 major break ups with me has helped me get back into amazing status. With her I have found my new found love of God. A love that has me feeling like someone that is alive which is a feeling that I have not felt in years. A feeling that I do not want to disappear at all. Do not get me wrong I have some friends that I consider to be like family to me, but she got the title of BFF.
This best friend is Lillian Lightbourn, she says she is inspired by me but I am inspired by her and her love of God. I love her drive and admire her God driven career in modeling. She is beautiful and kind and because of her I love coffee and creamer. lol. I miss her so much as she is away in London doing her thing modeling and I give her everything and commend her for everything that she has done and is about to do. So I love you lilli and I hope this answers my homework question in more than just a paragraph!

BAD RELATIONSHIPS

When god blesses you, he does so; however when the Devil wants to destroy you he will stop at nothing to do it and do it with people that you least except.

Relationships come in different forms, good, bad, with a friend or a boyfriend/girlfriend.

All relationships/ friendship start off good but some how sometimes slowly end up becoming toxic to yourself and to your walk with god. These are the type of relationships that we do not want in our lives because they break us down and turn us into someone that we are not.

“Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’”-1 Corinthians 15:33

King Solomon wrote, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (Proverbs 17:17).

A toxic friendship can cause a lot of damage, emotionally, mentally, even physically. Here’s how you can tell the difference.

I have had many instances where I have been in bad relationships, or have had toxic friends that were not doing anything for me but bringing me down. It is not to say that I hate these people because I do not hate or wish bad upon any of these people that have hurt. I just know in my heart that I am moving on from what was bad in my life to what is good.  Yes! Letting go is not the easiest thing in the world to do but it is something that we all must do when something is not right for us. Letting go of a relationship does not mean you are letting go of love, or that you don’t love someone anymore. Ending a relationship by Letting go doesn’t mean we will (or should) stop caring about a person, and it doesn’t mean we should be unkind, gossip about them, have anger, bitterness and un-forgiveness, or never talk to a person again.

How can you let go of a bad relationship?

Psalm 147:3, ESV He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
2 Corinthians 6:14, ESV Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
If you are not married yet, please, please, please, do not marry an unbeliever. Please.
If you are already married to an unbeliever, that’s a different story altogether – Please, pray for their salvation and be an example and a shining light in all you do, by God’s grace. Don’t give up on praying and in believing, and ask God to help you to be patient, loving, kind, gentle and forgiving, to always be an ambassador for Him, and to know how to handle every situation you may encounter in your marriage (as with all marriages). Amen.

Psalm 27:14, NASB Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.
Psalm 73:26, ESV My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Qualities of true friendship Expert from Life Hope and Truth

God’s Word is filled with ways to identify qualities of a true friendship. Here are some to consider:
  • True friends are loyal. They stand by you in good and bad times. Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all times.” Proverbs 18:24 adds, “A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
  • In a true friendship, there is reciprocity—a healthy balance of giving and receiving.
  • True friends don’t flatter. They tell the truth, even when their honesty may sting. In Proverbs 27:6 King Solomon was inspired to write, “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”
  • A true friend is trustworthy and reliable. You can count on that person to keep your secrets, give you good counsel when you ask for it, and to always speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).
  • A true friend is loving—not with a selfish type of love, but with the kind that puts others’ needs first. There is a well-known chapter in the Bible about what real love is. It says, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians13:4-7).
  • A true friend will not try to lead you to do things that are wrong or hurtful, but rather is there to support you and encourage you to make right, healthy and proper choices in your life (Proverbs 1:10-14Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
