TRUE LOVE

A young boy sits next to his little sister in their bedroom. As she is hiding her face in his arms, he asks himself, what is love? He thought parents were supposed to love each other.

A teenage girl is lying on the bathroom floor. Through the tears she can barely see the razor, let alone the marks on her leg. She shouts to the empty air, what is love? She felt as if she had nobody to show her.
A woman is picking out another long-sleeved shirt to wear at work in July. She does it to hide the bruises that she has to face every day, bringing her to ask, what is love? She is beginning to believe that this is it.
It’s a question that seems to be as old as existence itself. What is love?
Many people spend their entire lives searching for it, turning up hardened hearts and crushed spirits. We expel all of our energy running towards material things such as money, clothes, or cars, hoping to find love in that. Matthew 6:19-21 advises us not to build up material things while we’re living on earth. They are merely temporary. Money runs out, clothes tear, and cars deteriorate. We also run to societal standards like status, beauty, or jobs. We think that maybe, just maybe, I’ll love myself and receive love when I’m this and I have that. Just as verse 21 says, we can’t take those things to Heaven with us. It’s not true love after all, and it shouldn’t be our priority.
Others beg for God to show them. When we fall upon the feet of Jesus, we see that He is love. It’s easy to become used to hearing about what Jesus did, especially during the Easter, as silly as that sounds. But it happens, and when you truly think about it–about the beating, mocking, loneliness, all of it–you see His love and His sacrifice. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Humans are the closest thing you can get to true love. We can love deeply and hard. Oh, how imperfect we are, though. Each one of us sins, makes mistakes, is selfish, the list goes on and on. However, we can look to Jesus, the end-all-be-all epitome of love, and make it a daily endeavor to be like Him.

At the end of the day, this age old question isn’t hard to find after all. All we must do is look to Him for a true love that will persevere. When you are down and out or simply need to be reminded, repeat these three sentences to yourself: Jesus is love. Jesus sacrificed His life for me. Therefore, love equals sacrifice.

RELIGION IS MAN MADE…SPIRITUAL IS NOT!

An easy definition of religion is that religion is man’s try to reach God. Being spiritual is opening ourselves to God’s impact on our entire being. Let us see the difference between these aspects.
Religion focuses on what pleases man. Being spiritual focuses on what pleases God. In our generation, what we see people do is what they believe to be right according to their religion. A lot of changes are made to what is spiritual in the eyes of the lord to suit a religion. People do amazing things; artist create the best art. Poets, writers and singers play with words to soothe their souls all in the name of religion. People tend to choose churches through their size, location, and visibility inside the community. Part of this judgment is how properly the minister of the church entertains the congregation. A great speaker can bring a lot of people into the church as long as he does not offend and brings lots of humour to his listeners. The mega churches of our day are groups that have found out this formulation and do it properly.
The New Testament indicates spirituality as a vivid alternative to religion. John the Baptist and Jesus did not come to the world as smooth-talking, sharp-dressing, aesthetically-attractive individuals. Paul worked as a tentmaker and Peter turned into a fisherman. The early Christians were not the wheelers and dealers of their time.
Religion follows man’s requirements whilst spirituality follows God’s requirements.
Religion involves feelings and externals while spirituality includes the complete being. Religion has a tendency to tell humans to react to their emotions and express them visibly. In In today’s modern times, there’s an emphasis on wearing things that angry individual express their convictions and doing things which are dominated by using their feelings. This is done by preacher who don’t teach these people how to stay motivated even when they are alone
Spirituality involves one’s total self in their relationship withGod. The Christians in 2 Corinthians 8: 3-6 have been identified by means of Paul as being of special spiritual nature due to the fact they gave themselves to God. The image we get of church inside the first century is not of entertaining preachers in fancy homes, but human beings assembly collectively regularly in houses–sharing their burdens and needs and supporting one another within the demanding situations of everyday existence.
While we look at the teaching of Jesus and the apostles, we see very little appeal to feelings. Jesus used parables which required His listeners to suppose and purpose. A lot of His coaching was to have His situation country an understanding after which He would complicated on it. Paul spent over a year at a school (Acts 19:9) and reasoned with the human beings in terms where they may think. Whilst he saw the artefacts of worship on Mars Hill in Acts 17:28, he declared God to be a God in whom we stay and pass and feature our being.

RESPECT YOUR BODY FOR CHRIST

Respect your body for Christ
1 Corinthians 6:12-20 gives us great examples of what God says about the importance of your body to His word. Today I want to take you through the verses of this scripture to show you how important your physical health makes a big part of your spiritual life.

Verse 12: “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be dominated by anything.” Our bodies are a gift from God and he has given them to us for a reason therefore we have to use it according to His will.
Verse 13: “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immortality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.” Our bodies are the sole property of the Lord therefore they have to be used for His glory.
Verse 14: “And God raised us up by His power.” Our bodies are a temple of God therefore one day He will resurrect your body and give you a better version of yourself.
Verse 15 & 18“Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ. Shall I then take the members of a prostitute? Never. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” In God’s eyes sin against the body is the worst kind because He considers the body as His precious treasure. Our bodies are connected to Christ, we have to respect it.
Verse 19&20: “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” This is my favourite verse because it goes straight to the point. Our bodies are not ours, but Gods because he bought them by giving up His one and only begotten son. What more can we ask for.
With all that being said. I just wanted you to see that you are valuable, you are a treasure. Keep your body is great shape and honour God.

LOVE LIKE GOD

LOVE LIKE GOD AND YOU WILL GO FAR
God is Love! His love is unconditional. He is forgiving and never holds grudges. His love is everlasting and comforting. His love can make us do well; it make Jesus feed the hungry, comfort the distressed, heal the sick, teach the multitude and raise the dead.
God’s love is tender and cares for the needs of others and it is not choosy and never finds it difficult to get along with others. So if you find it difficult to get along with some people or they rub you the wrong way, you better start look to God to give you the strength to begin to love them. Ask God to give you the eyes to look at yourself and others in the same way that He looks at you. God has forgiven us and shows us His unconditional love by dying for us on the cross. Why do we have to let the devil get to us and lead our lives in the opposite way to what our Father wants for us.
God lives in us, we are complete because His love is perfect, it is peaceful, patient and kind. This is what we need to remind ourselves of when the devil tries to attack us by confusing us about the things our father has forgiven us for. We should claim the forgiveness and righteousness of God with faith, this way we will not be affected by the work and the accusations of the devil.
Instead of hating and criticising each other, we should pray for each other. Ask God to fill us all with the Holy Spirit and love to see through the hate that has been created amongst us. LetGod work through you, let Him use your words, your smile and your patience to express His love for His people.
You will see your life changing, you will see more miracles and receive more blessing for being a faithful and truthful servant of God.

PERFECT MATCH

Woman are made from mans rib therefore there is a perfect match for everyone because God said so
“And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion who will help him.”
Have you ever felt like if God doesn’t bring you your soulmate then you won’t be able to get married? God does have only one right person for you because without His Grace, there would not be any marriage in the first place. God reigns over all of mankind and all of creation. He even has control over what we do. But he doesn’t control us. He allows us to do what we want and later we will be held responsible for our actions. Yet he still reigns over all things.
With all that being said, you don’t have to wait for God to hand you a husband. You have to pray for wisdom so that you can be able to choose the perfect partner. Meditate on His work and pray for understanding of His word and His views about marriage and what He designed married to be.  When our prayers for a husband are shaped by God’s words, we can pray confidently knowing that we are praying according to God’s will. It means you can ask God for the ability to discern the relationships His grace bring into your life.
God knows everything and everyone even our thoughts and who we are supposed to be with. But He won’t hand you over the person you want. Therefore you can dare but according to the laws of the bible.
“Women were created from the rib of man to be beside him, not from his head to top hi, nor from his feet to be trampled by him, but from under his arm to be protected by him, near to his heart to be loved by him.”  – Matthew Henry, An exposition of the old and new testament.

WHY GOD MAKES YOU SUFFER SOMETIMES?

Why do you think does God allow you to sufferHave you ever considered if He really cares about your sufferingsToday I want to tell you that there are reasons why the lord makes us suffer and those reasons are included in the following according to James L Milton.

Some People Suffer for the Salvation of Lost Souls
God makes us suffer because He is trying to tell us something. By allowing suffering He is showing us that something is wrong. God doesn’t ENJOY seeing anyone suffer, but He does ALLOW people to suffer for various reasons. God may bring tragedy into your life so that he can get your attention. Like for example the leper of Matthew 8:2, do you think he would have come to Jesus if he had been in perfect health? What about the blind man of Luke 18:35?
The Bible is filled with cases where God reaches people through suffering. Nebuchadnezzar didn’t fear God until God humbled him by making him spend seven years of his life on his hands and knees like an animal (Dan. 4:30-37).
No one suffers in vain. God always has a reason, and sometimes He is trying to show someone their need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ. Could this be true in your own life? Think about it. Could the Lord be convicting you of the fact that you are a sinner, and you need to be saved?
Some Christians Suffer for the Lord Jesus Christ
II Timothy 3:12 says, “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” Then II Timothy 2:12 says, “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him…” Jesus said, “. . . . If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” (Luke. 9:23)
When a Christian chooses to deny himself and follow Christ, they choose to suffer for the Lord. The world has always found a way to persecute God’s people, and we should not be surprised when persecution arises. Jesus suffered for us, and we should count it an honour to suffer for Him. In Acts 5:41 the Apostles rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer for the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus said that we should rejoice when we suffer for His sake, because GREAT is our reward in Heaven (Mt. 5:12). I Peter 2:19-21 tells us that it is our duty to follow our Lord’s example in suffering, and I Peter 4:12-16 tells us to be happy when we suffer for Christ, and it tells us not to be ashamed.
God Teaches Us Valuable Lessons Through Suffering
Not all suffering Christians are disobedient Christians. There are many very dear Christians who go through great agony every day, yet they are some of sweetest and most God-fearing saints you’ll ever meet. Why does God allow them to suffer? There are many reasons.
One reason is humility. If we believed some of the popular “Faith Healers” of our day, we’d believe that people suffer because they lack faith in God, but this isn’t necessarily true. The Apostle Paul didn’t live in sin and he didn’t lack faith in God, but he DID have to suffer. Why? He tells us why in II Corinthians 12:7: “And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.” Whatever this thorn in the flesh was, verses eight and nine tell us that God chose NOT to take it from Paul. Instead, He chose to give Paul the GRACE to bear the burden. God used this problem in Paul’s life to help keep him humble, to keep him from being exalted above measure.
Sometimes God sees the need to put us through some things for the purpose of making us stronger. God will also use suffering to teach us patience. Romans 5:3 tells us that, Tribulation worketh patience
Some people suffer so that they will be better equipped to comfort others in their suffering (II Cor. 1:3-4). It’s always a blessing to know someone who has gone through the same troubles that you are going through, for they usually have some helpful words of comfort and wisdom. Are you going through some pretty tough times? Maybe the Lord is giving you the experience that you’ll need to help someone else later.

Find your spiritual way with God

Are you discovering your spiritual gifts and putting them to good use? If you have been procrastinating, well you are missing out as this one of the most exciting adventures a person can have with God.

The Bible says spiritual gifts are abilities God bestows on every believer for the common good of the body of Christ. They’re a large part of the answer to the question, “What should I do with the life God gave me?”
We all know that very spiritual gift is a reflection of God’s nature that we carry within us. And because our spiritual gift reflects God’s design and direction for our lives, we find great passion, joy, and satisfaction in expressing it.
Today I going to share tips to help you to find your spiritual path with God.
Understand Your Calling as a Child of God
The reality is, God has revealed most of His will to us in His Word already.
All Christians are “called to be saints” (Romans 1:7). In fact, the word “church” in the original Greek refers to those “called out”—in a spiritual sense, called out of the world to God. So every Christian has a divine purpose: “to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called” (Ephesians 4:1). We have a purpose as servants of Christ to carry out the instructions He left with His apostles—to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples in all the nations of the world (Matthew 28:19-20).
Notice the things that energise you and seem to come naturally.
Every spiritual gift gives off clues. Your spiritual gift will cause you to react a certain way in a given situation. If there’s a problem, people with the spiritual gift of shepherding will be immediately concerned that people are cared for and growing in Christ-likeness as a result of the issue. Those with the gift of intercession (prayer) will immediately say, “We need to pray about this,” while those with a leadership gift will begin looking at solutions for the problem.
Identify Your Spiritual Gifts
Discovering God’s will and calling at a personal level can be a little more challenging.
A good place to start is by identifying your spiritual gift(s). God has created each of us with special talents and abilities, but He’s also given us unique gifts powered by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:11). Our spiritual gifts are a serious indicator of what God expects us to do for Him (Romans 12:4-8).
The best way to identify your spiritual gift is to start serving in various capacities. What brings you joy? Where are you bearing fruit? Seek out ways to minister within your church and community. Be sure to get counsel from others about the effectiveness of your ministry—if you are sure you know your spiritual gift(s), there should be other, wise believers that agree.
Exercise your options
Once you’ve gathered enough information to create a list of some possible gifts (perhaps gifts of mercy, evangelism, encouragement, or hospitality), exercise your options. A great place to start would be a volunteer position at your church. While you’re trying it out, you’ll start to discern whether you’re good at it or not. Also, others will tell you!
In 2 Timothy 1:6, the apostle Paul encourages Timothy to “fan into flame the gift of God.” We’re responsible to develop our gifts. Perhaps one of the best ways to do that is to mentor someone who’s just starting on this discovery process. People with the spiritual gift of wisdom are probably the best people to develop someone else with the spiritual gift of wisdom, and so on for each of the gifts.
Live Actively, Not Passively
Don’t wait for God to show you His personal will. Assume that you are in His will today and that He will guide you and reveal more as you walk with Him. That means it’s time to take action.
Many of us wish God would send us a letter in the mail detailing the next five years. And even though we know He won’t, we can waste our energy sitting around waiting for that clear “sign.” Or worse, allow other people to control and direct the course of our life. But we were each designed to actively fulfill a unique purpose during our time on earth—one that both glorifies our Father and brings us great joy!
When God gives us the direction we seek, we need to be faithful stewards of that will and act on it. It is God’s responsibility to show us His will for our life and our responsibility to nurture His calling and perfect it for His glory.
Challenge yourself to pursue His will and perfect it for His glory as you embark on this new year.
