CAN I STILL BE SEXY (VICTORIA’S SECRET MODEL) AND STILL BELIEVE IN GOD?

Technically there is no verse against being a model or being sexy. The bible says we are saved by faith and not by our actions. Nevertheless, in reality it is more complex than we think.
Jesus has called us to turn from our ways to follow him completely and to be transformed by him. If Abraham did notobey God’s Words and stayed in his comfort zone with his family, would he have experience so much abundance from God? If he could manage to love God with all his heart, read the word, know Him and still refused to leave his home, it would be an awe.
Romans 12:2 says: “Don’t copy the behaviour and customs to this world, but the God transform you into a few person by changing the way you think.” So being a part of an industry that encourages and thrives on lust is probably not what God would want for our lives; even if the model believes that it is up To her and God.
Often times associating with a particular industry can show that you endorse it. To put this in consideration, in all professions, Christians need to work out where their ethics lies; they need to evaluate if they can be actively serve God and work for their employer; or if their workplace undermines their faith.
Regardless of morality of the companies we work for God’s love will never change. For Christianity to have great impact in the world we need to infiltrate all industries as well as places that fit more with Christian morals.
One great thing about being a Christian model and working in a commoner environment is that you can impact the place by your conversations, attitude and diligence and just loving the people you work with. But in order to follow Jesus and show the treasure, we need to be responsible about the places we put ourselves in and the things we do. If we are in places that lead us and others to sin then we are in the wrong place. For instance, posing in lingerie means someone else is going to look lustfully at the picture and in Matthew 5:28; Jesus specifically defines this as a sin. We need to guard our hearts and the hearts of others.
The action of modelling lingerie itself is not an issue but it is the purpose, place and usage of that image. God would be all for it between a husband and wife, and not for the amusement of the whole world.
At the end of the day there is a line that we need to pray and figure out where we as Christians stand. We should figure out how we can navigate the work place to give God the glory that he deserves; and to recognise that God is the ultimate boss and not our employers.

COME TO GOD IN PRAYER IN A MANNER OF HGH FAITH

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel.” – Philippians 1:27

God’s word is like a treasure chest buried underground full of gold coins worth of billions of dollars; but instead of gold coins the bible offers something better; God’s promises. Sadly many Christians don’t know God’s promises. It’s like gives us a treasure chest full of gold coins, and we never open it to see what’s inside; we lack the faith to see these amazing fruits.
Today, I am here to tell you that when we come to God in a manner of high faith we can discovery these promises, promises that will be able to lead a peaceful life and understand God’s calling in our lives.
God promises to satisfy us fully and forever in Jesus Christ.
We all long for heart-satisfaction. We all crave joy, pleasure, and beauty. And we can find some joy, pleasure, and beauty in things of the world. But none of these gives us full joy. Or lasting joy.
But God has good news. God promises that full and lasting joy is found in himself; in knowing him as he is revealed in Jesus Christ. That’s what David says in Psalm 16:11 (he’s speaking to God) –
“In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
We can also see this promise in verses like Psalm 36:7-9; Psalm 63:1-2; Psalm 73:25-26; John 6:35; Philippians 3:8; 1 Peter 1:8.
God promises to forgive us through faith in Christ so you can experience his heart-satisfying presence now and forever.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
We have all sinned and faced God’s punishment. But on the Cross, Jesus was punished in our place. So when we turn from whatever else we’ve been trusting to satisfy us, and trust Jesus Christ to forgive us, change us, and satisfy us in himself — everything changes:
God forgives all our sin — so we will never be punished by him (1John 1:9; Romans 8:1).
God covers us with Jesus’ perfect righteousness, and welcomes us as if we were perfectly righteous (2Corinthians 5:21). This complete forgiveness, and all of God’s promises, are ours by faith alone in Christ alone, as Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9.
God promises to keep us strong in faith so we can experience his heart-satisfying presence forever.
This will ensure that we don’t turn from our faith in Christ because God promises that if we are truly trusting him now then he will never let you fall away. We won’t be sinless. But he will keep you persevering in faith until you enter heaven.
That’s what Paul says in Philippians 1:6 – “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Christ, God mercifully promises to reward our undeserving faith with even more heart-satisfaction in him now and forever.
So the more we trust and obey Christ now, the more joy we will have in Christ now, and forever. Here’s how Jesus puts this promise in John 14:21 – “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”
But please don’t misunderstand this idea of reward. It’s not that we deserve rewards from God. It’s that – because of Jesus’ death on the Cross — God mercifully rewards our undeserving faith and obedience with more of himself.

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith” – Hebrews 13:7

GLORIFYING GOD, MAGNIFY GOD

I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving. (Psalm 69:30)
The whole duty of the Christians can be summed up as follows: we have to feel, think, and act in a way that will make God look as great as he really is. Be a telescope for the world of the infinite starry wealth of the glory of God. There is nothing and nobody superior to God. And so the calling of those who love God is to make his greatness begin to look as great as it really is.

This is what it means for a Christian to magnify God. But you can’t magnify what you haven’t seen or what you quickly forget. Therefore, our first task is to see and to remember the greatness and goodness of God. So we pray to God to, “Open the eyes of our hearts,” and we preach to our souls to not forget all his benefits.
To “glorify” God means to give glory to Him. The word glory as related to God in the Old Testament bears with it the idea of greatness of splendour. In the New Testament, the word translated “glory” means “dignity, honour, praise and worship.” Putting the two together, we find that glorifying God means to acknowledge His greatness and give Him honour by praising and worshiping Him, primarily because He, and He alone, deserves to be praised, honoured and worshipped. God’s glory is the essence of His nature, and we give glory to Him by recognizing that essence.
The offering we bring to God as we come before Him in the splendour or beauty of His holiness involves agreement, obedience, submission, and rehearsing His attributes or extolling Him. Glorifying God begins with agreeing with everything He says, especially about Himself. In Isaiah 42:5, God declares, “I am the Lord God. I created the heavens like an open tent above. I made the earth and everything that grows on it. I am the source of life for all who live on this earth, so listen to what I say.” Because of who He is, holy and perfect and true, His proclamations and statutes are holy and perfect and true (Psalm 19:7), and we glorify Him by listening to and agreeing with them. God’s Word, the Bible, is His Word to us, all that we need for life in Him. Listening to and agreeing with Him, though, will not glorify Him unless we also submit to Him and obey the commands contained in His Word. “But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts” (Psalm 103:17-18). Jesus reiterated the idea that glorifying and loving God are one and the same in John 14:15: “If you love me, you will obey what I command.”
Psalm 117:1-2; “Praise the LORD, all nations; Laud Him, all peoples! For His lovingkindness is great toward us, And the truth of the LORD is everlasting. Praise the LORD!”

OVERCOME ANXIETY WITH THE LORD

Anxiety, worry and tension are some of the most destructive forces we can face today. They steal our strength and slowly undermine our faith, keeping us from maturing in the Lord. If we are to grow in our relationship with Jesus, we must discover God’s plan for freedom from the crippling cycle of anxiety. Philippians 4:6 says: “Do not worry about anything,” writes Paul, “but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God.” The underlying message here is very clear: Pray more. Give thanks more. And don’t focus on your anxiety.

God wants us to be free from worry. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). But to enter that rest we have to cut off stress’ source of power: our unbelief (Heb. 3:19).
Jesus has confronted our futile anxiety. He tells us to look at how God feeds the birds of the air and arrays the lilies of the field. How much more will He care for his children?
Anxiety affects how we feel and behave, and it can manifest real physical symptoms. Mild anxiety is vague and unsettling, while severe anxiety can be extremely debilitating, having a serious impact on daily life. Therefore whenever we get the anxious, we should always remember that in Matthew 6:26-34 Jesus has confronted our fruitless anxiety. He tells us to look at how God feeds the birds of the air and arrays the lilies of the field. How much more will He care for his children?
“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life’s span? And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; thy do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. But if God so arrays the grass of the field, which is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more do so for you, O men of little faith? Do not be anxious then saying What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘With what shall we clothe ourselves?’ For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”.
We should learn to cast our cares to Him. Every day will bring new opportunities to cast our cares upon Him. One of the best ways we can do this is by replacing our worry and tension with prayer and thanksgiving. “Be anxious for nothing,” the Bible says, “but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Phil 4:6). This command is followed by a wonderful promise: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:7).

PEACE AT MIND WITH YOUR EMOTIONS

How to find balance in your emotions
Between work, tasks, errands and chores that we accumulate during the day, it is easy for us to feel like we need to work 25 hours, seven days a week just to keep up. Everything on that instance becomes urgent and this may leave us overwhelmed therefore, it is important to have emotional balance because there is no end to the onslaught of modern life.

Being emotionally balanced means that you are allowing yourself to experience your feelings as they evolve bynot avoiding or suppressing them, also you are not being so attached to them and also not recognising that they are all-consuming. Emotional balance occurs when we allow ourselves to feel whatever comes up, without being overwhelmed by it, and learn to accept our feelings without judgment.
It is understandable that nobody wants to feel pain but avoiding it is not the answer. Our wishful thinking tells us that if we can just avoid the pain, it won’t affect us. Ironically, efforts to keep painful thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations at bay may work temporarily, at the end of the da, you have to deal with these challenges at some stageThe harder you work to avoid pain, the greater your suffering tends to be.
The following are several levels of awareness that might help you to cultivate your emotional balance.
1. Become consciously aware of the emotions you are experiencing. Although you may not understand or know what the feeling is, it is important to simply notice and acknowledge that you have some feeling.
2. Try to identify the particular emotion. Close your eyes, turn your focus inward, and allow yourself to experience that emotion in your body. Different emotions are typically experienced in different parts of the body. For example, anger might manifest as tightness in your neck and shoulders, sadness as an aching in your chest, fear as a knot in your stomach, and joy as warmth in your heart.
3. Put the emotion into words. “I’m feeling anxious.” “I’m feeling angry.” “I’m feeling sad.” Putting the emotions you experience into words by making these simple self-statements can create the space you can use to respond intentionally rather than react automatically and unconsciously.
Emotional balance can be achieved by practicing emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Emotional regulation relates to identifying the emotions that are being felt in the moment, and observing them without being overwhelmed by them. Emotional regulation skills include self-soothing activities that help to reduce emotional intensity and provide a calming effect, such as: meditation, intentional breathing, yoga, listening to music you enjoy, progressive muscle relaxation, taking a walk or a hike, reading something pleasurable or spiritual, singing a favourite song, exercising, visualizing a comforting/relaxing image, journaling, etc.
Emotions, especially powerful, disturbing ones, can seem as though they will last forever. However, whether they are positive and bring smiles to our face and laughter to our lips, or painful and bring hurt to our hearts and tears to our eyes, feelings are always temporary. They come and go. Sometimes they leave sooner than we would like; other times they stay way past the point when we want them to leave, but eventually they all leave.
Lastly we have to be prepared to let go of your attachments to any particular outcome so that you can be open to something bigger than you have ever imagined. Learn that to yield does not mean that you lose and be willing to compromise. Let life lead you down unexpected turns and you will discover magic in the most ordinary places.

FIND THE JESUS IN YOU!

Finding yourself in Christ means a lot more than it appears.  God has created every one of us for a purpose to be fulfilled here on earth and until we begin to live the way God wants us to, we will never find that purpose. Jesus told us that “you have to lose yourself in other to find yourself.” This could seem paradoxical to your ears but have you sat down to think and meditate on what He meant by this statement.
[Matthew 10:39] He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Hence, Jesus is telling us that to be like him, we must lose our pride and be submitted to Him in all our ways. The Bible makes us understand that pride is a great sin. Satan had pride and made him misbehave in heaven which resulted to chasing him down. We have many other personalities that fell for pride in the Bible. Let us take Goliath and David in the Old Testament as case study.
Goliath was so confident in his strength and valor, he forgot he was a creature created by a Creator and he underrated the God of Israel when David challenged him in the Bible. David casted away every pride and challenged Goliath in God’s name.
[I Samuel 17:45] “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.”
We all know how God gave David flawless victory over the arrogant giant (Goliath) because David casted his pride away and relied on God to do fight the battle. He was able to find his true self as a victorious warrior. After the battle with Goliath and victories over philistine, the people of Israel praised and acknowledged David, even more than King Saul.
[I Samuel 18:7] “And the women sang to one another as they made merry, “Saul has slain his thousands and David his ten thousands.”
Hence, it is important to cast away your pride and submit yourself into His hands. You will even serve and understand him better when you do these.

Another important step to take after submitting yourself to Christ is to look for evidence, as you study, that you are a child of God. Also look for evidence that God is; Creator,  holy, good, righteous, loving, and not capable of any evil. Look for writings that projects God’s love for his children, an everlasting love that mirrors and transcends a parent’s love for a child. This will provide you with the theoretical knowledge to believe Jesus died for you so as to redeem and give you an everlasting place in his kingdom. Knowing that your true self is connected to the fact that God created you and loves you, even though you are a sinner, provides true confidence to find yourself in Christ and you will know that you are truly loved unconditionally.
