God wants your bills to be paid, your needs met and your family blessed. He doesn’t hold back any blessings. God wants you blessed financially so that you can finance the gospel and establish his covenant. God wants you to honour him through your financial success.
“The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your Children.”(Psalm 115:14)
In order to be blessed financially you must follow the financial principles that God has given us in His word. Jesus set out the most important principle, the principle of giving. “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)
When you give to God, He will give back to you in greater measure than you have given. The more you give to God, the more you will receive. I have seen the truth of this principle in my own life and even with the people at church. Those that are faithful in giving tithes and offerings are blessed financially, even in the midst of recession. We all have a choice to make. Whether we are going to believe God’s Word and be a generous giver or not? God blesses those who trust Him with their finances.
“The lord will grant you abundant prosperity – in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground – in the land He swore to your ancestors to give you. The Lord will open the heavens, to send rain on your land in season and to bless the work of your hands. You will lend to may nations but will borrow from none. The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.” (Deuteronomy 28:11-13)
God blesses us so that we are blessings to others. (Gen 12:2) The bible teaches that God blesses use so that we will bless others. We not blessed to feel good, happy and comfortable. This is the first law of blessing and it must follow to those in need. We can bless other by serving their needs be it physical or emotional support or financial help.
The more you bless other people, the more God blesses your life. Luke 6:38 tells us, “Give away your life; you will find life given back, but not merely given back – given back with bonus and blessing.” You can’t out-give God. The more you give the more God pours His blessing upon you.
Malachi 3: 10 -12 tells us to; “Bring the whole tithe onto the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,”says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the flood gates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop before it is ripe;” says the Lord Almighty. Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land.
